BNB Industries' Sani-Lite sanitary roller is a foam filled light weight roller for sanitary and wash down environments. In operation this Sani-Lite sanitary roller eliminates the cavity or hollow space in roller tube which has been found to become contaminated with foreign material that can escape from the hollow roller tube. By filling the roller tube it eliminates the hollow roller body and a place for contaminated material to build up inside the roller body. The Sani-Lite sanitary roller rotates on the spherical ball screw or the cylindrical stub shaft with less effort due to its lighter weight than a solid roller and does not exhibit sagging or cambering like a solid roller due to its own weight. The lighter weight of the Sani-Lite sanitary roller works better in lighter load applications than solid rollers, when the product load does not exceed the weight of the rollers supporting the product it would cause the product to slide or skid across the rollers. The rollers turning reduces the wearing of the surface of the roller or the product supported by the roller. The Sani-Lite sanitary roller is also more cost effective than a solid type machined roller. Our journal bearings are a superior alternative to ball bearings for use in a wet or wash down environment of a processing floor or the filling line of a corrosive or chemical conveyor application. Unlike standard ball bearings that are likely to rust or become corroded our bearings are unaffected by heavy wash down or product spillage.
